    This is our last week of the "Let it Go" series and this week we will be looking at "Let Go of Stupid" Our scripture reference will be Matthew 5:27-32


    Lord of the Rings Marathon:

    Just a reminder for those with kids in grades 6-12 that our Lord of the Rings and Hobbit marathon is coming up on Nov 21 & 22. It will be held here at the church starting 6:30pm on Friday and ending at 7pm on Saturday!

    Two full days in Middle Earth, what could be better?

    Time change:

    We will be trying a six month experience at Cornerstone beginning on Januay 4th. Our services times will change to 9:30 and 11:00, this is an attempt to balance the attendance in the two services.



    Great I hate Winter Beach Party:

    Well maybe not soon, but it is coming. This year we will escape winter for a couple of hours on February 21st. It will begin with a pool party at the Dartmouth Sportsplex and will end with a pizza party. The swim begins at 3:00 p.m. There is no charge for the swim and $3.00 per person for the pizza, bring a soft drink and finger dessert to share.

    Ladies Christmas Event:

    (A Christmas Carol Night) –Friday, Dec 5/14 at 7 pm   SAVE THE DATE, LADIES J Our Christmas ladies night has traditionally been our premier event of the year so we would love to have you join us for an evening that will include singing, words of wisdom and inspiration, a time for laughter, an awesome cookie exchange and our first ever ornament swap! Along with this there will be an optional tree ornament craft, wonderful food and time to share with other ladies! There will be a sign up sheet on the bulletin board and a hand out with all the specific details for each event will be available.     Glory and Peace Christmas Concert:

    This will be a great opportunity to invite friends out for an evening of Christmas Music with Electric Violinist Trevor Dick and others, Sunday Evening December 7th. There will be an offering received. Click here for more details

    Children's Christmas Presentation:

    This year our Children's Christmas presentation "We Three Spies" will be presented in both services on December 14th.

    Kingswood Community Carol Sing:

    Join us around the Christmas Tree for our annual Carol Sing on December 14t at 6:30 at the Park next to the Kingswood Plaza.  We will have hot chocolate and tasty treats and all of your favorite Carols. 

    Blue Christmas:

    Christmas isn't Merry for everyone, if you struggle or have struggled with Christmas this service is for you. It will be held on December 21st, the shortest day of the year at 6:30 p.m.

    CIA CHristmas Project:

    This Christmas give the gift of warmth to someone in our city. We are looking for people who are willing to help those in need right here in Halifax. Cornerstone is teaming with Souls Harbour to provide sleeping bags for those who are homeless and will need them this coming winter. We know that winters in Halifax are cold, so give the gift of warmth this Christmas season. For only $20 you can give the gift of a sleeping bag and a pair of long underwear.     A well for Christmas:

    This will be our third year sponsoring the drilling of wells in villages in Sierra Leone, the need is even more critical this year with the Ebola crisis happening.

    Operation Christmas Child:

    Thank you for over a hundred boxes prepared with love for children in the Developing World

    Don't forget your chunky soup and evaporated milk on November 2 for Feed Nova Scotia.


    If you would like to become a regular contributor of this ministry we do provide meals for RMH every second Monday. Look for the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board, or check out Cornerstone's Facebook page to see what items are needed for the meal we are making for that week. Feel free to contact Wanda or Vashti.
