    On Sunday we will be reading other people's mail and looking at the most pressing issue that Paul addressed with the Corinthian believers. Our scripture focus this week is 1 Corinthians 1:10-17

    Men's Golf Day:

    The Weather forecast is great for Saturday. And if you couldn't go last week and can make it this week just let Denn know.
    For those who want to drive out together we will be leaving the church at 12 noon.

    Here are the details: August 22nd tee time 1:00 p.m. We will be playing 9 holes at the Airlane Golf Course, the rate is 19.95 + tax. Power carts are available for an additional $20.00.  There will be food available in club house after round. Tee off will be at 1:00 pm.

    Meals for New Moms:

    Since our birth as a church we have provided meals for families when a new baby is brought home from the hospital. If you would like to help, a couple of times a year you will be called to prepare and deliver a meal, please contact Vashti Nason


    If You've Ever Wondered; What's a Wesleyan?:

    Last week Dr. Jo Anne Lyon, the General Superintendent of the Wesleyan Church, was interview in Christianity Today about what it means to be a Wesleyan. You can read the interview here


    We've been asked if we can accept E.Transfers for giving, the answer is yes. The email needed is giving@cornerstonewesleyan.ca and you can provide Mike Kneebone with the security question and answer.

    Dinner on the Grounds:

    Join us for a BBQ following service on September 6th. We'll provide the hot dogs and you can bring along a Salad and Dessert to share.


    CIA (Cornerstone in Action):

    September 13th, 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in community outreach or missions opportunities this is a night for you. 

    Come and hear the plans for the coming months and share your own passions and ideas. 

    Life Group Brainstorming:

    Are you interested in leading or hosting a Life Group this fall? Come out on Monday, September 14th at 7:00 p.m. as we look at moving ahead with the small group ministry at Cornerstone.

    Alpha is Coming to Cornerstone:

    If you have just started your journey as a Christ Follower Alpha is for you. This series has been used by churches around the world to lead folks deeper in their walk of faith. Our tentative start date is September 27th. If you are interested in attending Alpha or helping to lead contact Denn

    Operation Give thanks:

    Cornerstone will be providing 300 Hygiene gift bags to Souls Harbour for their annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Together as a church we will build bags of basic necessities for those in need. Keep an ear and eye out for more info in the coming weeks.  For more details you can contact Pastor Deborah


    Women's Conference:

    Mark your calendars for Oct 2-3,2015, Ladies! KV Women's Conference - Harvest, finding freedom. $65.00 plus hotel costs. This is a Friday evening and all day Saturday event in Quispamsis NB. Dr. Joanne Lyon, General Superintendent of the Wesleyan Church, is the featured speaker and there will also be awesome break out sessions to choose from. It would be awesome if we had a group of ladies who would like to attend this conference. Registration forms are on the information table. Please, contact Pastor Marilyn for further information.

    Don't forget your chunky soup and evaporated milk and sun screen on Sept 6 for Feed Nova Scotia.


    If you would like to become a regular contributor of this ministry we do provide meals for RMH every second Monday. Look for the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board, or check out Cornerstone's Face book page to see what items are needed for the meal we are making for that week. Feel free to contact Wanda or Vashti. If you have questions as to how you can help!

    Cornerstone Gardeners :

    Do you have a green thumb, or do you just like to dig in the dirt? Join our gardeners on Thursday evenings as they keep our flower beds looking pretty. For more details contact Tamara Elwood.


    Youth Group (Grades 6 -12) meets each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. For more details contact Pastor Stefan.

    Our Life Groups are on Summer Hiatus, we are excited about some changes that will be happening in the fall as we launch our groups again.
