    After last Sunday's meeting the Cornerstone Leadership team is actively involved in a two part project that will install an air to water heat pump for heating the building and install a 30 kw PV Solar Array to produce electricity for our use. For more information you can contact Denn

    4th Annual Trunk or Treat:

    Mark your calendar now and plan to join us for our second annual Trunk or Treat event here at the church in the lower parking lot, Oct.31,2014, from 6:00- 7:30pm. Decorate your trunk, dress up, bring your children and your treats and enjoy a wonderful social evening as the children have fun in a safe environment. There will be a prize for the winner of the best decorated trunk.  Hot dogs and hot chocolate will also be available for all who attend.
    If you would like to help with this event in any way, please, see Pastor Marilyn, or the signup sheet on the church bulletin board. Donations of candy are most welcome and will be distributed to the children who attend. Don’t forget to invite your friends and family to be part of this fun evening as well!

    Remembrance Day Service:

    Cornerstone will take time to remember those who serve and have served in our Armed Forces during both services on November 9th. If you are presently serving we invite you to wear your uniform.

    Creative Cornerstone:

    Creative Cornerstone will be resuming on November 15th at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Come on out and join some like minded folks as you knit, crochet or enjoy whatever it is that sparks your creative spirit.     Ladies Christmas Event:

    (A Christmas Carol Night) –Friday, Dec 5/14 at 7 pm   SAVE THE DATE, LADIES J Our Christmas ladies night has traditionally been our premier event of the year so we would love to have you join us for an evening that will include singing, words of wisdom and inspiration, a time for laughter, an awesome cookie exchange and our first ever ornament swap! Along with this there will be an optional tree ornament craft, wonderful food and time to share with other ladies! There will be a sign up sheet on the bulletin board and a hand out with all the specific details for each event will be available. It is a great time to catch up with friends you haven’t seen for a while and to meet new friends. Please, feel free to bring your friends. For further information, please, contact Pastor Marilyn

    Glory and Peace Christmas Concert:

    This will be a great opportunity to invite friends out for an evening of Christmas Music with Electric Violinist Trevor Dick, Sunday Evening December 7th. There will be an offering received. Click here for more details

    Children's Christmas Presentation:

    This year our Children's Christmas presentation "We Three Spies" will be presented in both services on December 14th.

    Christmas isn't Merry for everyone, if you struggle or have struggled with Christmas this service is for you. It will be held on December 21st, the shortest day of the year at 6:30 p.m.

    CIA CHristmas Project:

    This Christmas give the gift of warmth to someone in our city. We are looking for people who are willing to help those in need right here in Halifax. Cornerstone is teaming with Souls Harbour to provide sleeping bags for those who are homeless and will need them this coming winter. We know that winters in Halifax are cold, so give the gift of warmth this Christmas season. For only $20 you can give the gift of a sleeping bag and a pair of long underwear.     A well for Christmas:

    This will be our third year sponsoring wells in villages in Sierra Leone, the need is even more critical this year with the Ebola crisis happening. Stay tuned for more details.

    Operation Christmas Child:

    Pack a shoe box and provide a Christmas miracle for a child in a developing country. More details to come.

    If you would like to become a regular contributor of this ministry we do provide meals for RMH every second Monday. Look for the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board, or check out Cornerstone's Facebook page to see what items are needed for the meal we are making for that week. Feel free to contact Wanda or Vashti.
